Equi-Soft Girth form Marjoman, finalist in Spoga Horse

The Spanish brand Marjoman and his girth “Equi-Soft” are finalists in the Innovative Spoga Horse awards. The World Horse fair ir one of the most important horse fairs in Europe and it takes place in Cologne, Germany. Marjoman is one of the 15 finalists, one of which will be the winner.

For those who doesn’t know the Equi-Soft girths from Marjoman, let’s take a look from the beginning. Girths are the indispensable element in the horse equipment in order to hold the saddle and thus the rider.

Until now, horse girths are more or less solids, and as much you press the girth, more the horse is downtrodden. The girth passes through the animal’s abdomen so there is the high pressure. If the girth is too much pressed, the thoracic capacity is constrained.

With a current girth, when the horse breathes the pressure over his chest grows. It’s uncomfortable for the horse and the performance drecreases.

Some time ago Marjoman though about that and planned a new kind of girth; they created the Equi-Soft Girths.  These girths have elastic elements, but they are secure for the rider, whose saddle doesn’t move and is placed securely.

The Equi-Soft girth has been proved in 6 horse breeds, and in the different ecuestrian modalities: dressage, jumping, endurance, etc
