Why don't we try to add colour to our saddles?

Spanish Clothig for horse riding

Is there a special way of dressing for riding a horse?
There are spacial clothes used in the south of Spain for riding a horse in some acts as "El Rocio" or "Feria de Abril".
They usually wear Spanish Campera jacket and Spanish trousers with or without "Caireles". Women also can wear a long skirt closed like a pair of trousers(very long skort)

Changing belts on Vaquera spurs

Today I've decided to write this post because a client asked me to put the straps on his vaquera spurs.
And you know what? I couldn't remember how that mess was made, I had to put myself the spurs without belts and think about how I usually buckle them .

Well the first thing is to remove the old belt if you have one, look how this is placed and you will not have problems.
To place a new belt the first thing to do is to choose a good one, made of quality leather.
There are lots in the market made of nylon straps but in the end, they become deformed and the price difference is not worth it.

In this case we put leather straps Marjoman Vaquera spurs.

We start by inserting the tip of the side, which is more outward, from top to bottom and had a back up for the inside. The next step is to take the back of the spur strap going to make an X on the front of the boot.
